Arboretum Tours

Did you know that the Arboretum in Maple Valley has one of the largest collections of western deciduous azaleas and hardy fuchsias in the world?

Did you know that there was a large resort with a landing strip located at what are now Lake Wilderness Arboretum and Lake Wilderness Lodge and Park?

Learn this and more at a free tour of the Arboretum. Tours are offered every third Saturday of the month (April through September) at 10:00 AM. Simply show up at the Arboretum gazebo and a docent will guide you through the Arboretum, pointing out the many areas of interest.

This casual walk through the grounds will take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. During this time your tour guide will point out plants of seasonal interest and will be available to answer your questions about the Arboretum and its plants. Your guide will also share information about the rich history of the Lake Wilderness Park area, the Arboretum, and the Arboretum Foundation. A tour brochure will also be available.

Special tours can be arranged for groups by emailing tours@lakewildernessarboretum.org.
