Chuck Cochran - new Board member celebrates natural world (Posted 2/11/2010) Chuck Cochran, new Corresponding Secretary for the Arboretum Foundation, notes that he values the opportunity to work as a volunteer and Board member and finds it very fulfilling. Debbie Fuchs - New Board Member (Posted 2/7/2010) New LWAF Board member and recording secretary, Debbie Fuchs, a 6-year resident of Maple Valley, graduated from WSU with a degree in Business Information Systems.
After graduation, she worked at Boeing as a computer programmer for almost 7 years before deciding to stay at home to raise her 3 children. Susan Goodell joins Board (Posted 2/1/2010) One of LWAF's new Board members for 2010, Susan Goodell, states that she is "thrilled to be a Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation board member" and believes that "the Arboretum is a region-wide treasure." Susan will serve as an Arboretum Board member-at-large as well as the co-chair of the Property Management and Development committee.

Nancy Claire Guth joins the Arboretum Board (Posted 1/27/2010) This January, LWAF welcomed Nancy Claire Guth as a Board member-at-large. Nancy has been active in Arboretum activities for the past few years. Her new master plan for the Smith-Mossman Western Azalea Garden has brought about major enhancements to the garden in the past two years.

Docents needed - First training session on Feb 4th (Posted 1/27/2010) Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation is currently recruiting volunteers who are willing to share a few hours of their time each month to lead visitors on a tour of Lake Wilderness Arboretum. Fuchia garden takes shape in the Arboretum (Posted 8/11/2009)
Although the sign says "Future Site of Hardy Fuchsia Species Collection" The future is now if you look at
our Hardy Fuchsia Species Garden. Granted the plantings are a bit sparse,
but working with the Western Fuchsia Species Society (WFSS), Board member Ione Tufts

Western Azalea Celebration (Posted 6/9/2009)
Recognition of two Eagle Scouts, Kevin Fuchs and Anders Roxstrom was part of part of our annual Western Azalea Festival.
